I had a young mom come up to me and say, "I don't read to my child." And I said, "Why?" And she said, "Because I don't read very well." And I said, "Well, then you sit them on your lap and you look at the books and you look at the pictures and you make it up because it isn't about how well you read, it's the fact that you are reading with your child. If you love books and you love your child, your child's going to love books. It's all about the relationship that you create with your child, the closeness, the hands on, the I love you enough to sit down with you and talk about things in this book with you. That's priceless."
