How can I help my children make the transition from kindergarten to grade school?
I think transitioning to new schools, no matter what age the kid is, is important to think about and is not something we want to wait until the last minute whether your kid is transitioning to a new school, from pre-school to kindergarten or from elementary school to middle school. One of the best things to do to get them prepared is to maybe take the drive to the school, show them where they're going to be dropped off and show them where they're going to be picked up. If your kids a little more anxious, walk them around the building about a week before the school is opened. You can walk them around show them where their class room is and many times there will be teachers around preparing so you can introduce them to staff members so they get more comfortable with the school setting.
