​So just giving them tools on how to say no, how to avoid using, and just educating them on the consequences if they do engage in using. And doing that, the best means of getting and alerting a teen what to look out for is relating it to them. So if they are into playing athletics, and they're really involved in wanting to play sports, you could educate them in regards to the consequences of what can happen. Smoking tobacco in regards to your lungs, and how that could impact how fast your speed is in regard to that sport. So definitely connecting those preventative talks to that adolescent in specific so that they can really understand and gain not only perspective of the harmful effects physically and emotionally, but also to their own desires, and goals, and things that they wanna pursue.
